The life and work of the Impressionist painters and Vincent van Gogh, were major influences. I loved the energy, colors, textures and freedom that their work symbolized.

New Paintings (From 2012)

"The times they are a-changin", sang Bob Dylan years ago. A truer word was seldom spoken. As times change, so do we if we allow ourselves to. I have begun enjoying some of the old movies, yes even the old black and white ones! Bogart and Becall, Cary Grant and Grace Kelly were all superb. The Blues Brothers on a mission from God. What a laugh! A carnival atmosphere, good music, good acting, comedy, suspense and drama may all be a form of escape, but they all paint a more pleasant picture than politics and current world events. These art forms inspired me to pick up my brushes again. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did painting them!
